This project involved improvements work to 3no. existing car parks at Dinas Dinlle near Caernarfon.  The existing ground vegetation was removed and a new grasscrete surface installed with line marking to parking bays with new tarmacadam surface in some entrance / exit areas. Work also included SUDS drainage works, new bus stop area, installation of new underground ducts for Pay & Display machines, general repairs to existing stone walls, new benching, bollards and bike racks. The existing picnic area was also revamped as part of the project.

The timescale for the project was key, the work needed to be completed outside peak season and completed before April 2024 to comply with grant funding conditions. SAB approval was also required for this project.

YGC provided full tender documentation and undertook contract administrator & principal designer role on this project.  YGC carried out the design stage works and managed the project from inception to completion. Work started on site October 2023 and was completed in March 2024. YGC provided the drainage design services and full SAB approval was obtained prior to commencement. The work was completed within the required time frame. The project ran smoothly largely due to the co-operation between the client, project manager and principal contractor.
