The works to build a new bridge over Afon Rhyd-hir on the A497 between Efailnewydd and Boduan is now well underway.
The development incorporates the realignment of the approach road to the bridge, as well as improvements to the nearby Gefail y Bont junction towards Llannor to merge safely with the new route.
Over the following weeks / months we will see a substantial change in the development of the site as the bridge will be constructed, retaining structures will be erected and additional sections of the realigned A497 will be surfaced and bounded by traditional ‘clawdd’ style walls.
The contractors for the works are Alun Griffiths while the project is overseen and managed by Engineers from YGC.
